Our propolis spray contains a 95% propolis extract!
Depends what you’re using our propolis spray for! In general, we recommend taking 4 sprays, 1-3 times per day with or without food. We also like taking a few sprays in the morning or afternoon as a dietary supplement and for a source of antioxidants.
When you start sniffling, feel the tingle of a sore throat, or are in close proximity to sick people, break out your propolis spray! To help bulletproof your immune system and defend your body from bugs we recommend spraying up to 4 sprays 3-6 times per day.
Our propolis spray is good for 3 years from the date it was manufactured. Check the expiry date on the back of your bottle for the specific date. Our propolis spray is natural and contains no artificial preservatives.
We believe in keeping things the way nature intended, so we don’t add any sugars or flavors to our bee propolis. Our propolis has zero grams of sugar and naturally tastes sweet!
Each bottle contains approximately 240 antioxidant-filled, immune supporting sprays. It will typically last anywhere from 3 weeks to a few months depending on how often you use it.
We recommend that your child be at least 2 years old to use our propolis spray. You should always check with your doctor first to ensure there are no allergies.
We always recommend that pregnant women consult their healthcare professional before taking honey, bee propolis, or other bee products.
No way! We are health nuts and would never tamper with the natural magic of honey. Our raw honey is pure, fresh, nutritious and, of course, unpasteurized.
Yes, our bee propolis spray is absolutely gluten free!
You most certainly can! All of our products are certified paleo by the Paleo Foundation and are awesome superfoods to include in your primal lifestyle. Fun fact: prehistoric farmers were actually beekeepers. It turns out that humans have been enjoying the fruits of honeybees’ labor for around 9000 years…now that’s Paleolithic!
All of our products come from small scale and remote apiaries primarily across Canada and the US, as well as exotic regions around the world such as the Brazilian rainforest. We work with our apiary partners to ensure that our bee products are sustainably sourced and of the highest quality and that the bees are always put first.
As annoying as it can be to spread on your toast, crystallized honey is a good thing because it’s a sign that the honey is raw and unpasteurized. Depending on its floral source, the time it can take for your fresh, raw honey to crystallize can vary from weeks to even years. If you want to soften your crystallized honey, heat water in a pot and put your honey container in the pot of hot water until the honey turns back into liquid form. This gentle transfer of heat to the honey helps turn it back into liquid form without overheating the honey.

Absolutely. Beekeeper’s Naturals is a social venture in the most fundamental way. The very core of our business is about trying to change the way people think about bees and the role they play in our environment and food supply. We educate our community by hosting a range of educational events, like teaming up with the David Suzuki Foundation for a local pollinator awareness campaign and partnering with other local businesses to bring awareness to their audience bases as well. We also interview beekeeper’s around the world, who speak about their experiences and sustainable practices and educate others about the art of beekeeping. Meet the beekeepers under the veil in our Unveiled Series on the blog. If all goes according to plan, together we will have enormous and lasting positive impact on the world!
The first step in the conversation about saving the bees begins with increasing awareness around sustainable beekeeping. We believe in a meritocracy: the higher the demand is for sustainable beegan products, the more nurturing beekeepers and apiarists become, giving us more people to work with to meet the greater demands from our customer base and more importantly, greater love for better supporting our bee population! We are throwing it back to the basic principles of supply and demand – let’s up the demand and get the sustainable and healthy bee supply through the roof! More bees equal more plants, which gives us more flowers and more food!
Not if you do it carefully and sustainably! Bees produce high volumes bee by-products, leaving ample supply to share with the rest of us.
Yes! We take pride in our ability to sustainably harvest all of the hive superfoods, and the harvesting of royal jelly is no exception. Typically bees will build large queen cells whenever a colony needs a queen. The current queen will lay an egg and the workers will fill the cells with royal jelly. In order to harvest royal jelly, this natural process is mimicked by inserting frames with manually built “queen” cells into a hive. The bees will instinctively build these larger cells into full queen cells and fill them with royal jelly. The frames are then removed at a specific time and the royal jelly is then suctioned out with a special tool very carefully.
1. Start in your own backyard by planting bee friendly flowers 2. Ditch the pesticides 3. Make a bee bath or bee hotel 4. Support local farmers and eat organic
We donate 10% of all every apparel purchases to local bee charities. If you’d like to donate directly, we’re big supporters of the Canadian Bee Research Fund and the University of California Davis Bee Research Facility.
Technically, no. But depending on your motivations for being vegan or vegetarian, you might be willing to eat insect byproducts. Bees pollinate our plants so the more beekeepers, the greener your garden. If you’re concerned about environmental impact, keeping bees is not only less harmful than raising traditional livestock, but it actually serves to help the environment because bees are responsible for pollinating many flowers and crops which help maintain our ecosystems and crop yields. We believe in taking good care of the bees, so we work hard to find sustainable beekeepers who don’t overharvest and those who ensure their bees have ample food to last over the winter. We are on a mission to save the bees so our priority is to promote healthy beekeeping practices and encourage others to lead more bee friendly lifestyles. We absolutely respect everyone’s individual decision to eat what they want, but we should let you know that many of our vegan (now “beegan”) customers do in fact enjoy our products.
Nearly one third of our food supply is dependent on bees for pollination! We would lose many fruits and veggies such as almonds, apples, avocados, berries, squash, and tomatoes to name a few. If you’re more of a carnivore, don’t think you’re off the hook! Bees pollinate alfalfa and clover, which are the main type of feed for cows and other grazing animals. Nearly 90% of wild plant species and 75% of crops that feed the global economy are dependent on pollinators. Bees provide $235-577 billion USD annually, in economic value to our global economy. So it’s safe to say our planet would take a serious hit if we lost our buzzing friends! Over the past few years we have witnessed abnormally high hive losses in around the world – it’s time to become involved, get informed and save the bees!
Sign up for our newsletter! Each month we include a monthly update of all things bee news. We look at the various issues affecting the bees, our environment, bee products and beekeepers around the world.
We are always looking for new partners. However, at this time we can only work with vendors experienced in keeping and caring for bees. If you are currently caring for bees and are interested in working with us, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Can I be your beekeeper?” Please include your location, how long you have been working with bees, what measures you take to ensure sustainability, how many hives you have lost over the past 2 years, your order lead times and your pricing.
